Pastoral families here rely completely on their livestock for food, income, and survival. With pasture almost gone, animals are becoming weak and many are already dying.
Children who depend on these animals for milk are now severely affected. The livestock can no longer produce milk due to the drought, and many children are facing malnutrition as a result.
Every animal lost is a devastating blow to a vulnerable household.
We urgently call on partners and humanitarian actors to step in with immediate support to protect these communities, save the remaining livestock, and prevent further harm to children.
